How to find Holbrook House

By road from London and the M25, take the M3 south, exit at junction 8 onto the A303, then take the A371 sign-posted to Wincanton and Castle Cary. Follow signs to Holbrook House Hotel on the A371 to Castle Cary and the hotel is located on the right hand side, just over a mile from the A303.

By road from the West exit the M5 at junction 25 onto the A358 towards Ilminster, then turn left at Horton Cross roundabout onto the A303. Then take the A371 sign-posted to Wincanton and Castle Cary. Follow signs to Holbrook House Hotel on the A371 to Castle Cary and the hotel is located on the right hand side, just over a mile from the A303.

By rail the nearest railway station is at Castle Cary, only 5 minutes away. Templecombe railway station is just 15 minutes away, both with lines serving London Paddington and London Waterloo and the South West.

By helicopter prior permission is required for all helicopters intending to land at Holbrook House, so that a log can be kept of the helicopters movements. There is also a fee of £10 for parking the helicopter. Best approach from W/NW to avoid tall trees and main hotel. Please do not over-fly nearby farm and private houses. There is one minor obstacle to be aware of when approaching the landing area, a telegraph pole is situated to the southwest of the site. Holbrook House is located near by; 70 metres from the landing site and stands, roughly, 12 metres high. The landing area does not offer refuelling facilities, but there is a first aid kit and fire extinguisher on site.
