Q. Can we bring children?
Children of any age are most welcome. We have a family room containing a double bed and two single beds, as well as interconnecting rooms. Many other rooms are large enough to include extra foldaway beds and cots.
The indoor pool is available to children up to the age of 16.
Swimming times are as follows: Monday to Friday – 12 noon to 1pm & 4pm to 5pm
Saturday – 9am to 10.30 am & 4pm to 5pm
Sunday – 10.30am to 12 noon & 4pm to 5pm
A responsible adult must accompany children.
Q. Can children use the spa and leisure facilities?
Children of any age can use the pool during the designated swimming times, as long as they are accompanied by a responsible adult. The minimum age for the use of the Sauna, Steam Room and Jacuzzi is 16 years of age.
Q. Do you have an Internet connection in any of the bedrooms?
All our bedrooms come equipped with dial up Internet access. Wireless Internet access is also available in our lounges.
Q. Are there facilities for those with special needs and disabilities?
The hotel has a number of rooms at ground floor level. Our lounges, bar and restaurant are also at ground level. Please advise us on booking of any disability, so we can ensure a comfortable stay.
Q. Is smoking permitted on the premises?
Smoking is not permitted at all within any of the buildings at Holbrook House. Smoking is permitted in the grounds and we ask that guests and members do not litter the grounds but use the ash trays provided.
Q. Do you cater for people with special dietary needs?
We are able to cater for most dietary requirements. Should you have any specific dietary needs please advise the hotel when making your reservation.
Q. Is there a dress code?
At Holbrook House we like all our guests to feel relaxed and comfortable during their stay. Our Cedars Restaurant has a smart-casual dress code.
Q. Can we bring pets?
Holbrook House can accommodate pets in our Garden Rooms, which are situated by our walled garden, therefore offering easy access onto the grounds. We do ask that all dogs are accompanied by their owner at all times, and that all pets are cleaned up after in respect for other guests and children using the grounds
Q. Coming and going?
Your room should be ready for you by 3pm on the day of your arrival. Guests arriving before this time will be made most welcome and can use the hotel's facilities until their bedroom becomes available. Departing guests should vacate their bedrooms by 11am. They can however continue to use the facilities until they wish to depart. If you require an early arrival or late checkout please inform reception on booking.
Q. Can mobile phones be used on the premises?
Mobile phones can be used in all areas of the hotel, except for the Cedars Restaurant.
Q. What should I be aware of when making a reservation?
We respectfully remind guests that a reservation constitutes a contract between themselves and Holbrook House Hotel and Spa. Once you have made a confirmed booking, if you cancel your room less than seven days prior to arrival, your 15% deposit is non-refundable. If cancelled less than 48 hours prior to arrival, then the first nights room rate will be payable. All reservations are subject to availability.
Please book all spa treatments prior to arrival to avoid disappointment.
Q. At what times are meals available?
Meal times are as follows:
Breakfast
Monday to Friday – 7.30am to 10am
Saturday & Sunday – 8am to 10.30am
Lunch
The restaurant is open for Lunch from 12noon to 2pm, every day except Saturday.
Afternoon Tea
Afternoon Tea is available in our Lounges from 3pm to 5pm.
Dinner
Dinner is available every day from 7pm to 9pm, except Sundays.
A table for dinner in the restaurant is automatically reserved for guests enjoying the inclusive tariff. Please discuss your preferred dining time with reception either on booking or on arrival. For lunch, we recommend booking a table in advance, particularly on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Room service is available to hotel residents 24 hours a day, although hot food is only available during dinner service. Outside restaurant hours, we offer a limited 24-hour room service menu.
